Tirofiban (B01AC

ATC) - an organic compound, a drug belo nging to the antiplatelet niepeptydowych reversible antagonists G PIIb / IIIa. Tirofibanu action by preventing the binding of molec ules of fibrinogen receptor GPIIb / IIIa, which inhibits thromboc yte aggregation and prolongs bleeding time. Indication of the administration is prevention of myocardial infarction in patients with unstable angina or myocardial myocardial infarction, the occurrence of an episode of pain stenokardialnego in the last 12 hours, irregularities in the ECG, and (or) increased activity of enzymes indicative of myocardial injury. Tirofiban is administered in combination with unfractionated heparin and acetylsalicylic acid.
